Doctor Who Fans, Are You Ready for Class?

Exciting news, Whovians! BBC Three has announced new details about the upcoming show Class, a Doctor Who spin-off scheduled to air later this year. The creation of YA author Patrick Ness, Class will take place at Coal Hill School of original Doctor Who fame. Included in the announcement is this teaser that has us eager awaiting more:

“Time has looked at your faces now. And time never forgets…” What if your planet was massacred and you were the sole survivor? What if a legendary figure out of space and time found you a place to hide? But what if the things that want to kill you have tracked you down? And worst of all, what if you haven’t studied for your A-Levels…?

The actors of the class include; (L to R)  Vivian Oparah, Greg Austin, Sophie Hopkins, Fady Elsayed, and Katherine Kelly.

Class will follow the lives of four students during their time at Coal Hill School, a place where the walls of time and space have become thin and something evil lurks. BBC Three describes the series as fresh, funny, and dark, while Steven Moffatt, the show’s Executive Producer, states, “I’ve always wondered if there could be a British Buffy – it’s taken the brilliant Patrick Ness to figure out how to make it happen.”

And with that said, allons-y!
